After four days of Puente del Pilar, the first with a low incidence of COVID-19 infections and with hardly any restrictions, it’s time to go home and it begins to be noticed on the roads. Early in the afternoon this Tuesday, the first retentions began to register , especially in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona.
In Madrid , there are retentions on the A-1 in Lozoyuela, Venturada, El Molar and San Agustín de Guadalix; on the A-2 in San Fernando de Henares and on the A-6 in Las Rozas and Torrelodones.
To alleviate traffic jams, additional lanes have been set up on the A-5 between kilometers 35 and 107 towards Madrid and on the A-1 between 23 and 74 also towards the capital.
In Barcelona , an accident on the AP-7 at the height of La Roca del Vallés, towards Tarragona, is complicating traffic and there are about 10 kilometers of traffic jams .
Traffic is also congested in Valencia , at the entrance to the V-21, in Alboraya, and the A-7, in Godella, in both directions.
There is also slow traffic in Segovia on the A-1 near Somosierra and on the A-4 in La Carolina ( Jaén ), always in the direction of Madrid. In Murcia , there are problems on the A-7 in El Espinardo towards Alicante and in Castrourdiales ( Cantabria ) towards Irún.
